The Nigerian Army has revealed that the bandits who attacked the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, moved the abducted students from their hostels via motorcycles.
The Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche made this known during a Channels Television’s Politics Today programme monitored by The Matrix.
“They were moved on the motorcycles they (gunmen) brought and after a short distance, some of them continued with the motorcycles, others dismounted.
That is their usual characteristics – those abductors. It is the same system; the same approach they used. There was no evidence, no information about them using other modes of transport” Major Enenche explained.
Enenche also corroborated the figure earlier given by Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State on the number of students missing following the attack which took place on Friday night.
“As at 2 pm yesterday (Sunday), the students that could not be accounted for reduced to 333. Out of that 333, before I came into the studio, one escaped out of wherever they kept them” he added.
Recall that bandits had stormed the school on Friday night and abducted the students after a gun duel with the police.
Recall also that governor Aminu Masari disclosed that the abductors of at least 333 students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, have contacted the Katsina State government.
