No fewer than 16 people have been confirmed killed in an accident that occurred at Alaro City, Epe, Lagos in the early hours of Tuesday.
It was gathered that the accident involved a truck and a passenger bus around Epe in Lagos. The two vehicles reportedly collided. Both the truck and the bus were burnt with the passengers inside them.
The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Bisi Kazeem, confirmed that nine people got burnt beyond recognition while seven others were killed.
He said that a total of 23 people were involved in the accident, with two of them escaping without injury. Five others sustained injuries and have been moved to a general hospital.
The FRSC said that efforts are still on to clear the obstructions for vehicular movement.
