Following the outbreak of fire at the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS headquarters in Abuja, on Sunday morning, the service has launched an investigation into the cause of the fire that engulfed some part of the offices.
The Service assured the public that the incident would not affect the discharge of their services.
This was confirmed by the service via its Twitter handle while adding that the fire has been contained by the Federal Fire Service and other agencies around the airport.
“A fire incident occurred in our Service Headquarters this Morning. It affected some of our Offices. The fire has been put out by our Federal Fire Station and support from other agencies around the Airport. The cause of the fire is being investigated. We assure the public that the incident will not in any way affect the discharge of our services” the Service tweeted.
