2023: Federal High Court bars INEC from recognizing Gov Obaseki’s Ad-hoc delegates
The judge made the declaration while delivering judgment in a suit instituted by 581 delegates elected on April 30.
Justice Ekwo in the judgment held that PDP and other defendants in the suit are bound by Section 84 (5) of the Electoral Act 2022 as well as Section 15 of the PDP Constitution relating to delegates elections. READ MORE

Citing the communique, the Director (Information, Press and Public Relations), Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Henshaw Ogubike said the N656.602 billion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N461.189 billion, distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N166.522 billion, and N8.891 billion being Excess bank charges recovered as well as a N20 billion augmentation. CBN Lauds Ikeja Disco, Pledges Funds For Its Metering Project
The Director of Development Finance, CBN, Yila Yusuf, who gave the assurance during a monitoring and evaluation tour of IKEDC facilities on Thursday in Ikeja, Lagos, expressed satisfaction with the projects executed with funds earlier disbursed.
“Let me say that Ikeja Electricity is very innovative; we have followed some of the things you have done, especially providing electricity upward of 20 hours with different prices, among others.
“I think that’s the only way you can ensure that you run the DISCO well. I look at all the performance numbers, month by month and you have done excellently well, to be honest compared to the others. READ MORE
APC Shifts Lagos House Of Assembly Primaries To Friday
Karamo said: “Yes, it has been postponed across the state. By 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Friday), we will start across all the 40 state constituencies.”
Asked about the reason for the shift, the Lagos APC spokesman said the governorship primaries held today (Thursday) was concluded late.
According to him, since the ad hoc delegates for the house of assembly are a handful, the exercise will not take time to be concluded on Friday. READ MORE
2023: Uncertainties Trail Oyo APC Guber Primary
An air of uncertainty is currently pervading the conduct of the gubernatorial primary election of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has been postponed.
While some quarters are of the opinion that the primary has been postponed indefinitely others stated that the primary will come up tomorrow.

Report Of Attack On Abba Kyari In Kuje Correctional Centre False, Reckless, Mischievous- Correctional Service
Mr Francis Enobore, the Service Public Relations Officer (SPRO) described the allegation that Kyari was attacked by his fellow inmates as fake.
According to him, “the story is false, reckless and mischievous.”

Senator Omo-Agege Bags APC Guber Ticket In Delta State
The Senator polled a total of 1,190 votes and was returned unopposed by a total of 1,235 accredited delegates of the party at the APC governorship primary.
The event which was held at the premises of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Asaba, saw the Deputy Senate President emerge as the sole aspirant in the primaries.
Announcing the results, the APC Returning Officer, Mrs Oyibo Nwaneri, declared Omo-Agege as the winner, having polled the majority of the votes cast. READ MORE
Sack Emefiele As CBN Governor Now, Falana Tells President Buhari
Addressing a Southwest youths and women conference at Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, Falana said Emefiele’s continued stay in office as CBN governor could erode and compromise the credibility of the 2023 general elections.
Emefiele had indicated interest to contest as president in 2023 on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, but rescinded the decision on Wednesday.
Falana, guest speaker at the conference, said that for free, fair and credible 2023 general elections, INEC should not keep sensitive election materials at the CBN with Dr Emefiele sitting in office as its governor. READ MORE
