The Ogun State Government has commenced the enumeration of properties in the state.
This enumeration exercise, according to the state government will cover both public and private properties across the 20 Local Governments Areas and is intended for the purpose of planning and equitable distribution of resources, as well as basic infrastructure in the State.
The Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo disclosed this to newsmen in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
He noted that the exercise is necessary to help the present administration in the implementation of its developmental policies and programmes.
“The enumeration is not to put a burden on the people, but an exercise meant for the development of the Gateway State. So, I want to enjoin residents to cooperate with the enumerators, as they will be visiting houses, offices and industries to collect the necessary information that is needed for the exercise’’, he said.
