Pastor Lazarus Muoka, General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, on Friday, admonished  Christians to be practical and lean on Jesus Christ to surmount challenges.

Muoka gave the charge at the ongoing 19th edition of the ministry’s special retreat tagged ‘Mgbidi 2022: Lagos experience’.

The retreat is taking place at Ijesha in Lagos State.

It started on Jan. 6 and will end on Jan. 9.

It had the theme: “What God Has Determined Shall Be Done”.

The retreat had annually taken place at Mgbidi, Imo State, before this year.

Muoka frowned at what he described as fair-weather Christianity among today’s worshippers.

He said that persecution and trials were features of the Christain faith which, when surmounted, would make a better disciple of Jesus Christ.

The gospel preacher prayed that  in 2022, God would pull down obstacles in the lives of His children.

He advised Nigerians  to call on God to bring solutions to the country’s problems.

“Our despositions and countenance should lure people to God. If that will be the cross we have to bear for a good society, so be it.

“As those chosen by the master, the world is looking at us to lead the way, but such cannot be accomplished unless we key into the salvation message,” he said.

He advised Nigerians to stop speaking against the country.

“Rather pray for the country and its leaders for things to get better; there is power in  words; therefore,  used them well. About two million people attended the retreat.
