After a week that ended in the negative territory, the equities market closed today on a positive note, as the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index NSEASI appreciated by +1.73% to close at 34,843.44 basis points as against -0.94% depreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at +29.81%.
Market breadth closed positive as AIRTELAFRI led 26 Gainers as against 14 Losers topped by PRESTIGE at the end of Monday’s session – an improved performance when compared with the previous outlook.
Market turnover closed negative as volume moved down by -73.86% as against the +43.71% uptick recorded in the previous session.
ZENITHBANK, GUARANTY and ACCESS were the most active to boost market turnover. ZENITHBANK and AIRTELAFRI topped market value list.
BOCGAS led the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume spike at the end of Monday’s session.
